Collections: State Flags
Arizona became a state in 1848, after the Mexican War but did not have a flag until 1911. The territory's Adjutant General, designed a flag and made it official in 1917. The design is meant to show the sun setting over the desert with the central star symbolizing copper, the main mineral found in the state and the blue lower half representing the United states.
Our state flags are made from lightweight knitted polyester specially made for flags, is UV resistant and does well in all weather conditions.
